Hey Guys and Gals,
We wanted to share this great link with you. It’s for a resource available from a group called the Pollinator Partnership. The Pollinator Partnership’s mission is to promote the health of pollinators, critical to food and ecosystems, through conservation, education, and research. They have put together a really cool guide that will help you choose the plants based on your area that will work best to create an environment that invites pollinators. Here is the link to the guides for your area!
What is a Pollinator?
It’s animals such as birds, bees, bats, butterflies, moths, beetles, or other animals that help move pollen within flowers or carry it from flower to flower.
Why it’s so important?
This transfer of pollen in and between flowers of the same species leads to fertilization, and successful seed and fruit production for plants. Pollination ensures that a plant will produce full-bodied fruit and a full set of viable seeds. To learn more about the process you can check out this link on their website.
Anyways we thought this was a pretty cool resource and wanted to make sure we shared it with you!
